Past Projects
Here's just a small sampling of the projects that I’ve worked on over the years.
Refurbished railing
This railing struggled over the years. The base on the right side had rusted out and the shifting of the stairs had caused it to no longer even be aligned properly any more. Having railings is code so this project was a moment away from non-compliance. The stairs were reset, concrete was poured to fill the crack, and then the railing was set in new angle iron, ground down to bare metal and repainted.
Sewer pipe cleanout replacement
This sewer pip had a cleanout cap that had rusted through causing sewage to be leaking on the basement floor. The old cap was removed, the surface was cleaned to ensure a snug fit and the new one was installed.
Refinished 100 year old floor
This floor was hidden underneath carpeting. It was stripped down, sanded, and varnished to bring new life to this magnificent floor. Sometimes it makes more sense to keep what you’ve already got than to redo everything. You aren’t going to make an old house look like a new house, but you can make it look like the best damn old house you’ve ever seen.
Install flooring
This flooring was previously carpeted. I removed the carpeting and replaced it with vinyl flooring, patched the damages on the wall, and gave the walls a fresh coat of paint. This took the room from nappy dungeon to fresh, comfortable oasis.
Fix a broken shower faucet
This client had a broken shower faucet. Handle would no longer turn because the valve had failed and someone had attempted to force the handle until the plastic shattered. I shut the water off, replaced the cartridge, replaced the handle, and turned the water back on. Good as new!
